DescriptionBIRMINGHAM SCHOOLS' RECORDER SINFONIA: meets at George Dixon International School on Saturday from 9.30am - 12.00pm with Alan Davis as conductor. The Sinfonia is a small and tightly knit group, which rehearses and performs a varied repertoire, which ranges from the 16th Century to the avant-garde, and includes a number of specially commissioned works. The Music Service provides a matching set of wooden recorders from the tiny ‘Garkleinflötlein’ to the Contra Bass. Players should be of about Grade 6 standard or above, and should have a strong commitment to the recorder as a serious instrument.

PLEASE NOTE THE SCHOOL BUILDING USED FOR REHEARSALS IS IN STANMORE ROAD NOT THE MAIN CITY ROAD ENTRANCE.
